*Skin Your Screen on 16/9 mode !!*
[= By Nerio ===]

It could be a joke, but i really want to show you here how to skin your screen especially on 16/9 mode!! ;-) here is a shot of this TV in Action…..he he (TV in Action :) ) it’s funny….
I know that there is a lot of methods to do such things, but this one is mine, so follow carefully if you wish.
Grab a good song : Rolling Stones : Papa was a Rolling Stone .mp3
Let’s go!

Make a new document, with size of 500x/500px. as usual to have a general look at the end of the tutorial.
Fill the first layer with black to follow the taste…..i hate working on a completly blank background! you know me now ;-)
Here the trick is not to go wild with effects, the best trick here is simply 99% gradients and layers stayles, and 1% imagination :)
Well, make a rectangular shape with your marquee tool like this one, make background color #5F5F5F and foureground #D9D9DA, fill the rectangle with this Linear gradient like here. then give it this layer style.

Now, just go to : Select—> Modify—> Contract by 9px, this amount is depending on how much wide is your original rectangle, try to find your amount….Anyway, follow carefully here :
Make a new layer, Don’t loose your selection yet!! , place this new layer under the first one, then fill it with this color #757C75…..don’t desselect yet!!
Contract your selection by 1px or two, not much more…...then select the gradient layer and hit delete!! it should looks like that :
Hopefully it was not confusing!!! .....OK move on Bud :)

Now, just go ahead and select your green rectangular layer, then go to : Filter—> Noise—> Add Noise…..the amount vary, but it should not go over 4px, simply because it will not simulate the screen correctly, here is mine it should looks like shown here!!

Well, CTRL+Click your green layer and make a new layer right over it and make a radial gradient on it , nearly from the top left side to the bottom Right side.
the dark color should be slightly less darker like this color #626161 and the white like #DFDFDF, gradient should go out of the selection…..why? because this will make it more subtle with light regions, not a static fill gradient, like in real life, TV should receive lights from diffrent light sources !!!

Now it should like at the left in this shot, so change it’s mode to Overlay, and drop the opacity down to about 94% and it should looks like to the right in the shot!!
Now, CTRL+Click the gradient layer, then make a new layer right above it, then go to : Edit—> Fill—> 100% pattern and choose a Scanlines pattern if you have one (You know how to do that Right!) then turn it’s mode to OVERLAY, and drop the opacity to about 30-20% this should be OK!!
So, basically, your layers palette should be similar to this one here!!

Now it should be similar to what i have here, but dont stop here…go ahead and use gradients to make the holder of the TV like what have here, it uses the same technics!! just gradients moved, Resized, Rotated in diffrent directions and ways, with some layer stayles like bevel and emboss or else….

Or to make it nicer, Grab a shot and adapt it with transform tool to the screen, or make a lot of them and animate them in IMAGE READY to make the entire show moving or to add some effects to it!!

With some tutorials in the net, talking about how to make a speaker, add these periferals to the Flat Screen, like here, whene finished, just duplicate this layer or group of layers to make the second speaker, because DOLBY SURROUND needs two Speakers!!! hehe :-)

Note: This is the simple way to make a flat wide screen, you’ll not find the same tutorial anywhere in the net!! So keep this file on you hard drive when finished, we’ll be using it on another tutorial!!
Now your Piece of art should looks like this…...Hopefully!!!
Am So generous, so i decided to give you my file, here!

Whitley Strieber, self-proclaimed alien abductee, here writes interdimensional fiction of planetary invasion amongst parallel worlds. A writer possessed by his words finds his writing actuating an alternate earth in which a planetary invasion is taking place only to realize his earth is also in jeopardy. Curious concepts which leave too many incongruities and unanswered questions to be recommended.
Award-winning juvenile fiction which discusses the weighty matters of choice, infanticide, and geriatricide in a way that ultimately leaves the reader to decide in an unbiased fashion. In a utopian culture of the future that maintains a base-line standard of life through self-suppresion and communistic assignment of duties and euthenasia of non-contributing members, young Jonas receives the very rare and enigmatic duty of Receiver. With this new role come rules of a very different nature than the rest of the culture. Ultimately this permits bypass of the emotional blindness and the revelation of the true nature and history of the culture.
Where James Rollins makes you grit your teeth as your favorite characters are seemingly killed only to pop up safe at the end, Iain Banks pushes your favorite characters through gut-wrenching punishment and still has the sadism to kill ‘em all at the end anyway. Don’t worry, it’s the ride that counts (or at least that’s what I keep telling myself).
Few books touch me so indelibly. Rarer still are true stories that leave a mark or impression on my soul. Tuesday’s with Morrie has done that with rapacious wit, candora, melancholy, but most importantly, truth. Life is to be lived, and fully, not sequestered away seeking money, fame. Life is who you love. This is a book to own. I hope my kids will pick it up off the shelf when they’re old enough and give it a read.
