Here again with tuts buddys…..some tricks will be shown in this page, but the unique general applicated rule with these tuts is : Play around with all settings to find yours, this mean customizing the way to achieve a certain effect or work. this is the flexible good result that generally photoshop provide to its users

Have some fun with Layer Masks

1- First of all, grab your pic that you want apply the effect to it,and open it in photoshop…......i’ll take this one of LENE MARLIN, asinger that i love very much. and also for the eyes sight that she havein that pic!!

2- you could place your picture in a certain background as fllowers oranything, its all depanding on the goal you are looking for to achievethe effect. making a wallpaper or a greetings card. i just place itover a simple nice sunset pic i got from the net:

next is to place your desired image over the background and to move on to the next step.

3- it’s better that you have already worked a little on your picture with some arrengements like : Levels, color correction…...for my picture i just deviated the hole colors with color correction very slightly to yellow…. why? just to fit with the sunset look. you’ll see at the end whats will come up.

4- Now, grab your gradient tool. choose any color combination you like, but to keep the effect soft and more clean, just keep your default colors.

Drag a good gradient in any direction and form you like, no secret here just what you see best to you, i simply make a good radial gradient from the midlle part of the eyes till the side of LENE picture, obviously for a more faded affect you have to try diffrent directions!!

Hmm….!! the whole thing is good but there is a little problem with the center of the mask, too lighten!

5- here is the solution: make a cercular selection in the center of the picture and go to filter—>gaussian blur . the amount vary from the size of the original picture to the desired gradient faded effect…..

Sometimes the gradient effect is not as good as we want it!! i mean that it could be some rectangular adges of the original picture…....don’t worry just use the erazer tool with a brush size of 65 or so to keep the fade effect more subtle.

6- Now, the fun begins with diffrent effects applayed to the mask layer for sure, don’t forget to use diffrent technics, maybe you will discover something that will take your name to celebrity.

Polar Coordinates with pointillisme filters applyed to the picture with default settings.

7- Nothing Great, just polar coordinates with mosaic filters, just be sure that you apply em to the mask not to the picture itself otherwise you will alter the hole thing.

8- With the effect played around and polished more and more!! the result could be magic, even for the person who creates it!!!

A Magazine cover or DVD/CD cover or T-Shirt Prints like that will brings me a lot of Money ;)
