Great Hosting Deal

Site5.com has got an INCREDIBLE steal on web-hosting for anyone that’s interested – and NO, I’m not getting paid by an affiliate program to write this!!! Read the details.

I only bring this up because I’ve been debating switching web-hosts for the better part of 9 months and seriously investigating Site5.

They’ve taken a unique approach and invested all the money they would normally spend for marketing for the month of September and pumping it directly into their high-end shared hosting packages so you can save literally 70%-80%. They’re only doing 40 of these offers per day in order to stay consistent with their own budget.

Here’s the package (Multi-Site Dynamite) features:

  • Normally about $30/mo.!
  • 15GB online storage.
  • 1TB transfer/month.
  • Unlimited emails, scripts, and MySQL databases.
  • Dedicated IP address.
  • SSH, FTP access.
  • Ruby On Rails hosting with FastCGI (the reason I’ll be purchasing this package).
  • Multi-Site: run 6 complete websites off one account with a dedicated control panel for each.
  • Low customer-to-server ratio so other people’s web-sites don’t slow yours down.

Normally this package costs $26.95-$29.95/month (which comes to $323.40-$359.40 for each year of hosting). With this special offer you can nab it for $99 for one year or $149 for two years. This means that you’re getting the $30/month package for $6.21-$8.25 per month!

Although Skinyourscreen.com is staying with the current web-host for the time-being, Site5’s account definitely gives the means and the capability to transfer to a better server easily. More to come on this later.

[Update]: Okay, I’ve gone ahead and purchased the two-year package, so I’m not entirely impartial in the matter. However, check the links: I’m not a member of any affiliate program for Site5 and in fact have nothing to gain by informing anyone of this. I simply am very pleased with their hosting and think it’s a TREMENDOUS deal. These kinds of things need to be shared!
