This is just to notify everyone that the PermaLinks for every skin are going to change at http://www.skinyourscreen.com.  All things previously listed under the Skins-and-Themes, Suites, and Wallpapers sections will be moved into categories within a replacement section titled Downloads.  All postings previously made under Tutorials, News, and Web Design will be moved into sub-categories of a new Articles section.

This reorganization, simple as it may seem, will result in the permalinks for each individual posting, download, and skin changing.  For example, a posting previously at:

http://www.skinyourscreen.com/site/Tutorials/Graphics/Gradient-faded-patterns

will now reside at:

http://www.skinyourscreen.com/site/Articles/Gradient-faded-patterns , but be navigable through the tags/keywords/categories Tutorials, Graphics.

If you have links you've given to friends or other web-sites that reference your themes or works here, they will require an update.

This new system will also permit unlimited tags/keywords/categories for each articles, permitting a greater level of organizational freedom.  This will pave the way for other content as well.  We have several users (myself included) who enjoy making their own music, and to this end a series of categories under the Articles section will be opened up to permit posting of music, equipment presets, bios, etc...

I have posted the proposed reorganization outline as well as the layout as it currently stands as of June 18th, 2007 in the graphic below.  Thanks for your understanding.

That's the hope, anyway   I regret not being skilled enough to reorganize but still permit all the original links to function.  For people who have left links to their themes all over the net (as I've done), it might be disappointing, if not impossible, to update all of them.  There are some 20-30 Photoshop tutorials websites that have links to our graphics tutorials, and all of those sites will be pointing to dead links for a bit.  I've got 5-6 that I submit our tutorials to that I can manually change, but the rest... oh well.

The reorg will enable me to do something I've been wanting to do for some time, give each skin or theme its own article/page/entry.  Currently many of the themes are listed in a long sloppy list as a single page, something resulting from the hurried transition to the current CMS after the site was hacked.  I hope to remedy this, although it will also take time.

BTW:  How have you been, Nerio?  It's been too long!   

well done bud, ive been thinking if its possible to make all the sites that point to our tuts section just pointing to the homepage of sys ....at least we wont loose some new customers!!! if its not possible, well!! it's not a big loose at the end! !

You will survive   You've gotten over much worse things in the past.  Sorry to hear of the illness, though.  That's no fun at all.  Seems like life in our apartment complex is dominated by rounds of sickness that continually sweep through.  You've got my sympathies.
