Focusing the layer is another story!! Grin Angry Shocked

in CS it is ctrl+click to select the initial layer and then ctrl+shift+click for each additional layer.

I'm not aware of a method to do this, although one can select a channel, a layer, and a path separately.  If I need to move multiple layers simultaneously, I'll either link the layers (little lock icon) or throw said layers into a layer folder and then manipulate the whole folder.

If you're trying to apply the same layer-style to multiple layers, right-click the layer that has the layer-style you want applied to the others, then link together all the ones you want to apply to.  Then right-click one of the linked layers and select "Paste Layer-Style to Linked"

I'm using version 6.0 on the PC and 7.0 on the Mac, so it might be different depending on what versions you're using.

this is where the problem started guys... I was using CS and found this neat little trick, but eventually I decided that the gains were smaller than the losses and went back to PS7 ( warp & multiple selection do not a program make! )... but that multiple selection gizmo was a real beaute and I found myself wondering if it was possible in earlier versions but I just didn't know how to.... Undecided never mind, I'll go wash up the breakfast things and muse on the whole question of life, the universe, what's on telly etc.

lol. That's not as bad as Veratil (one of the Aston Shell forum moderators) is still running v1.9.2 and Aston is all the way up to 1.9.4 beta.

Clever fella! I never had a problem with Aston until I installed the 1.9.2 beta ( 1.9.1 was the BEAST! ) now I can't run it at all (the panels, now known as 'panel' these days freeze on me all the time .... and I've even swapped my HD (? ~ f* my BIOS???).
Vladan ( Krstatzar ) was kind enough to send me a copy of the 1.91 that he still had, but my machine went into meltdown as soon as I had an Aston folder in my programs... that in itself necessitated a reinstall. I'm not blaming Aston, I just wish I could afford to by a Mac!

4 years on the Aston forum, I even had moderator status, but nobody was willing to accept that it could actually frig a machine! Well it can, and I'm living with the residue. But hey! M$ are the biggest screwer uppers of systems... and they sell the ruddy things!

Give my regards to Veratil... he's a pretty clever programmer ( but ask him to change that awful image icon  Afro.... Manga??? )
