Firefox users unite! Tell 'ole lws about your list of installed Firefox extensions Smiley

Currently in use;
Adblock Plus - Blocks ads. Blocks darned near every ad under the sun. Makes internet 50% less painful.
DownThemAll! - intelligent link finder and downloader, for when you want to do something like 'download all the .pdf's linked to on this page' without having to break out wget and pattern matching syntax Smiley
ImgLikeOpera - Turns off loading of images except from cache, until you tell it to start loading images. Great for poor me on dialup* - makes the internet usable again. (*or $22/gb university broadband.)
Scrapbook - The best way to capture those pages that you simply must read, but don't have time to right now. More convenient than my usual wget -rl5 [site] and much easier to browse through afterwards Smiley
Aardvark - A fast and intuitive tool for selecting html elements in webpages and nuking the ones you don't want, ostensibly so you can clean up all the crud before you print something. Very handy for web designers as well.
Stylish - allows you to apply your own styles to webpages.
Surfbook - 'session history management' - tells me where i've been and which pages I went through to get there.

Oooh!  Now this is a great thread idea!

Mine's pretty minimal:

ForecastFox - 'cuz I've gotta know how badly I'm gonna freeze when I walk out the door.
Web Developer - This sucker RAUX in helping me with my web-designs.  Outline anything - block level elements, divs, imgs, even strips the color themes out of a web-site or presents a list of all images.  I like it for how it narrows down what's what in CSS.
EditCSS - Alright, actually I just strip out CSS and edit it with jEdit, but this extension can be handy on occasion.

That's it... kinduv barebones, huh?  I run the same setup on my Mac, my W2K box, and the Ubuntu box.

The only nonstandard one that I have is Stylish cause I don't like the new version of DA and I have code that reverts most of the DA pages back to the old style.

I used to have a whole raft of web development ones (editcss, validator, etc.) but I haven't gotten around to reinstalling them yet. I find I don't really need to use them any more, though the validator one is funny for seeing what big corporate websites still use broken HTML Smiley Sites like the LG website with 23 HTML errors and a zillion warnings is amusing to me :p

ForecastFox - 'cuz I've gotta know how badly I'm gonna freeze when I walk out the door.

lol - around these parts, it's either needing to know 'is a Category 5 tropical cyclone bearing down on me?' or 'If i walk around outside, will I begin to crackle audibly under the sun, which is only about four miles above the ground?' Tongue

For your amusement : Dylan Moran, a rather good comedian and the mastermind behind the awfully funny Black Books, has this to say about Australia;

    * On Australia

"It's a totally inhospitable place, your shouldn't be here, the sun, you live about three quarters of a mile from it, I've seen insects walking around with kneepads, you fling yourselves into the sea when you're not actually walking around audiably crackling in the heat and the sea is full of jellyfish and sharks and other things who hate you, but yet you persist in living here. So you know, its a jail, you live in, it's lovely, you've done wonderful things with it, but you're all still in denial"

Speaking of weather, we just got 1 to 2 inches of snow here, which is exciting since I'm from Texas and we NEVER get real snow there. I'm only 2 and a half hours north west, but it made the difference this time! (I played in the snow with almost everyone else on campus until 1:00 am Smiley

30 inches of rain is incredible! I couldn't imagine how full my pond at home would be if that happened. Smiley

The UK ( and N.Europe ) has had the second warmest January since 1916 ( though I doubt the poor bastards in the trenches were commenting about the unusually warm weather! ).

Back to the subject ~ not many. Adblock, Web Developer & User Switcher Agent ( my online banking faciilitydoesn't recognise Firefox... really smart don't you think!  Huh ).
