So I'll have to wait until I have enough money to get a "normal" Mac Smiley
darn, for that money I could get at least 2 powerful PCs Smiley

Once again, I like playing with so-called "user-oriented" Linux distros but not working with them: there're lots of interested ideas implemented, but overall Linux GUI developers just trend to take the worst ideas from Apple/MS so the whole thing reminds a zoo of aliens. The principle "gee, it works" is not for me now: I've grown from the command line and have no will to use it for anything else but scripting. Besides, magically any distro I've tested has shown the stability level of Windows 95 plus I have absolutely no will to mess with compilers, scripting and solving eternal dependency problems. For me now Linux is nothing but a funny toy, nothing close to the work instrument.

That's coming a bit off-topic Smiley

Getting this thread back on topic  Wink. Has anyone been using Aston beta? I'm having a problem with the start menu opening down(off the screen) instead of up. I've tried the theme that came with it and one I'm working on both do the same thing.

I use it currently. It's all OK. If you've found a bug, please, report it to support.

2Rich: if it's so good, why is it sooo buggy and slow? Wink
crap, today my FF's theme has spoiled and TB declines to receive RSS. Why does this only happen with opensource software?

Waiting for the next version of Opera...

SacRat...  Lips Sealed to be totally honest with you, I'm VERY tired of your anti-linux and anti-open-source rants, k?  Wonder why I removed you from my chat list a few weeks back?  It's because you take any opportunity to start an argument.  That ain't friendship.  It's a waste of time, and exceptionally annoying.

So.. I've got to make the obligatory "keep the thread on track please" request.  Rattie, this means you. Wink

Just to be thorough on this, what resolution and color-depth were you running when experiencing the problem?

1024x768 I'm now running 1280x1024 and it is fine. I just checked it out on my new monitor and it still messes up at 1024x768. At 800x600 it messes up and at 1152x864 it's fine. Those are all the resolutions my monitor will do. The color is 32bit at all resolutions tested.

That sounds like a genuine bug... good catch!  I bet the A-Team's already grateful they passed you a Post-Beta version - you're helping out already Smiley

You're not running a dual-monitor setup, are you?

No dual monito, just a single 19" LCD.
