It's an absolute doddle Chris. Open any skin, or create a new file and just make your way down the left hand menu changing/adding the appropriate skin images. Then just save your file with the relevant name

In the above image I've got the Editor open with the half completed Azenis2 player that I'm making to match the rest of my desktop. The bits that look incompatible are there because I originally opened an existing file to see what was going on inside of it, and haven't YET got around to changing those items.

Incidentally it's a stand alone application that doesn't need installing on your system. You can just run it from a folder in MyDocs.

Lookin' good, Mickeblue!
That's just you being generous again Rich  Grin

I hit a kinda skinners block when I pasted in two buttons and realised that they had been given preset sizes smaller than I was using, 8th & 9th from the left. I went into a sort of WTF mode when I realised it wasn't going to match my Sys skin after all and it slowed me down a bit.

I guess to get myself back on track I'll make something from scratch, and come back to this one later... but we are still getting over a very weird week after having had a lunch visitor who ended up spending three days upstairs in bed, and costing me a fortune in medical fees ( she's Canadian so doesn't qualify for NHS treatment ) ... nothing to do with my cooking I hasten to add... she had picked up a nasty infection in Greece ( and passed some of it on to my wife who is immuno-suppressed due to her lung condition ). So no invites for lunch in the near future!  Shocked

'Tis the season!  I just got over some dang cold that kept me outta work for a week.  Now I'm trying to stay dry in New Hampshire for a scientific conference in some podunk town.  Good conference, yucky weather.

Does Aimp2 use alpha-transparency PNG images, or is it only limited to magic pink?

Please tell me it is png. Smiley I hate magic pink.

As far as the skinning interface goes... I am definitely going to skin this. Anything that is that easy deserves to be skinned by everyone.

Still, shouldn't be a problem unless one tries to skin circular shapes along every border.  Their are ways to workaround "the jaggies" - such as artificially anti-aliasing the graphics yourself prior to rendering down to BMP or sticking to 45- and 90-degree angles along transparent edges.

@ Mickeblue: Find your muse regarding those 2 buttons?  Looking for ward to seeing your finished product in action Smiley

No, actually Rich they are driving me mad... for some reason they are only showing as part width ( 10,15 pixels when they are 15,15 ?), so a third of the button is cut off. I've tried everything I can think of, including resizing the buttons to 10x15 ( they then show as 7x15  Roll Eyes ). Talk about room 101.

Think it's the actual skinning program itself?  SkinStudio used to have odd bugs in it like that which would require the use of a text editor and hacks to resolve.  A bug, perhaps?

I'll post on the forum and see if anyone else has had the same problem.

Meanwhile another bigger bug... the pickups on my i-Axe have stopped working  Cry Cry I was having a bit of "iffyness" with the volume knobs before, but suddenly I was sans volume altogether!

I didn't want to start undoing screws in case it made the guarantee void so I called the vendors and they have agreed to exchange it for another ( and I might get the white one that I wanted this time )... sent it off via the postal service this aternoon, so now the waiting game begins.

Side tracking yet again... fancy a bit of nice folk music ~ http://www.lothlorienmusic.com/home.shtml ~ a few nice tracks available on the right hand side.

Get the new one yet?  Sorry to hear about all the trouble... I've been in New Hampshire for a scientific conference (300+ person bacterial geek-fest).
