Cheapest Music...
« on: October 24, 2007, 02:19:43 AM »

... I don't know how they do it, but I a'int complaining when it enables me to buy an entire album for around $1. MP3 Fiesta have a huge... that should be HUGE... catalogue of downloadable music by thousands of top name artists at crazy prices. I've been merrily downloading albums that I never thought I'd be able to get my hands on again... real blasts from the past Grin

Well worth perusing if you've got a few gaps in your music collection.  Smiley

It seems a little fishy. There is an album on there that you can not get anywhere for less than $100 because it is out of print and considered to be the best Christian Hard Core music of its time, yet they are selling it for $0.58 This makes no sense. I can not believe they have permission to sell that music. If they really do though, it is really nice because now I know where to buy that album.

Well I thought that at first Chris, but they seem up front with their legal information... not an easy thing to verify with it being a Russian site. They can't all be criminals, can they?  Grin Besides if it wasn't kosher I'm sure there would have been a lot of flack by now with that big a catalogue of artists.

I also watched my bank account very closely to make sure that it wasn't suddenly emptied, but the correct payment was taken and I was sent a receipt for the transaction... so that all seemed above board.

But I agree with you that there is a lot of stuff there that is discontinued elsewhere, which is one of the things I like about it  Grin

Actually Chris you got me a bit worried by your earlier posting, so I sniffed around a bit more and if it will help set your mind at rest I found these forum postings about the site ~

It is crazy how much cheaper music is when it doesn't come on a CD, from a store. Thanks for this site, I'll have to keep checking it to see when the albums that I would really like to buy show up.

I think it is basically because artists get a much smaller royalty in Russia than they do in Europe and the US... and that's not a bad thing to my mind. This trend for elevating musicians and actors to a revered and almost Godlike status is ludicrous and unhealthy.

Nah, I don't think so. I really apreciate their contribution, and I think I should have to pay for it. Plus, I honestly think that one day I am going to be one of them. Not as popular as Brittney, or some mainstream singer, but hopefully I will be in a very successful Christian Indie band that tours internationally, like Underĝath, Emery, or something like that.

Yep Cheesy well I am dirt poor right now, so... Smiley It is a very good verse to remember though. I don't really plan on being crazy rich. It would crimp my style.   Grin
