Vista and Litestep
« on: March 11, 2007, 11:33:18 PM »

Does anyone know if Litestep is Vista compatible?

Also, I just felt like telling everyone how bad Vista is. It is terrible. You have to relearn the interface, it asks WAY to many questions, like 'do you really want to do that?' or, 'Windows has started doing this (insert anything you can think of here) do you want to continue?' It really gets annoying after a while. And it is not like it is a one time thing either. Every time you perform that action it asks you. Ugh. This is what I have to look forward to. I'm still not sure I am going to convert all the way over to Vista (I am running 2 OS (XP and Vista) on 2 partitions.) but I may depending on how many programs are Vista only. While I don't recommend a mac, I do recommend something other than Vista. If you get a new computer with Vista on it, format the HD and install XP or 98 (not too shabby of an OS) or Lunix. Grin

I have only the XP very first edition, it lets me doing nearlly everything comfortablly

The number of problems i got with SP2 and SP3 are inimaginable....so in effect, i just back to the old version wich seems to be more stable and highly customizable!!

That's Microsoft for you, release buggy updates that set the product back instead of advancing it.  Undecided

I've tried hitting GMAME on to find an answer to this question but all it looks like is speculation.  Looks like LiteStep will run on Vista, the current question is whether or not you can set it as your default shell.  No definitive answer AFAIK.

Ok, I guess all I can do is try it out then once I switch over completely. I'll let you know what happens.
