Ultraplayer
« on: March 01, 2007, 05:14:38 PM »

Heck Nerio, I had forgotten Ultraplayer... a really super (free!)  media player ~( better if you bought the mp3 add on ) ....

It hasn't been skinned since dinosaurs discovered the web. How's about we all skin UltraPlayer? Just for fun?

Question that Nerio might be able to answer... there used to be a DSP plugin for Ultra, and a link to it on their website, but it doesn't seem to be there any longer. Any ideas where I could find it? or do you have a copy you could send me please?
If I'm gonna start using it again I might as well have all the buttons and bells  Grin

Watch out haxer, if I remember rightly Ultra uses white for transparent Grin ( 255,255,255 )

There's a project for you haxer  Grin

Thanks Nerio, no hurry man but it would be nice to have the options. I own a key to the full DSP plugin that I got from the original link, but it was so long ago I don't remember who the software was made by.

That's the trouble with getting older, every day I say a little prayer... Dear God today help me to meet up with the folks that I really like, help me avoid those that I don't, and the wherewithal to tell the difference.

Ugh, skinning this looks scary from what I saw in the SDK so far. I may not be up to the challenge. I'll give it a shot though.

Actually Haxer I now remember why I didn't finish the two skins I started making about 6 years ago... Smiley

The SDK these guys have made has to be the worst educational tool I've ever come across... if you look at the available skins on the web for Ultra they appear to be the only 2 people who have actually ever made skins for the bloody thing ( no wonder! )... What the heck... it might take weeks to plow through this but now that I've started I'm determined to do it, so once I get the ini. sorted out we'll share the simplified version and flood the world with new Ultra skins...

my only worry is that mine is a bit too conventional... but the requirements make it kinda awkward to be inventive.

Ya, that's waht I was thinking looking at the SDK, I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought it sucked. Smiley
