I've debated turning SYS off for a while, bantering the idea here and there. I guess the principle reason I haven't is because of gratitude to a group of friends who have contributed skins, tutorials, and conversation. By keeping SYS up and running their contributed material stays up and public.
There's also a bunch of tutorial sites that have links to our tutorials... kinduv neat that our tuts are linked to by the larger tutorial aggregation sites

Interesting suggestion, you propose still. I really like the idea of creating our own little ring of tuts, linked to each other. Let's keep exploring this option.
But first...Here's a little peek into the back-end of SYS affairs and mrbiotech's thoughts:
I've recently purchased hosting through another web-host that gives me the ability to run 6 complete sites from one account (that's 6 entirely separate domains). I did this principally to get access to a Ruby-On-Rails enabled webhost for another web-business startup. The package actually costs less per month than the current host of SYS, so I'll probably switchover within the next few months. The big problem is the domain name,
Skinyourscreen. I might have to go .net or .org since the current webhost is notoriously stingy in coughing up any domain-names used through their services.
