I was wondering if you know a good method or software that enables a user to make a periodical backup of a php forum.
one of my friends have one, and he was attacked last week , from then he asked me to find a good way to backup his forum once a week !!

am asking you , or any one from the republic that knows that

Hey Nerio! What forum software is he using? Most of the software has a backup in the admin menu. If nnot then he can backup his database through phpmyadmin.

I'm with Axeman747 on this... many forum PHP packages include scripts to backup/optimize/restore their database.  If not, the other option is to back it up directly from the website control panel (which will differ, depending on the webhost).

Sorry to hear about the attack.  Wherever there is charity, it appears there are individuals who attempt to exploit it.

basically, he have a php forum based on a server, but still not really online, only a few users knows about it......but its clear that the hackers knows about it too........so he was attacked, and i was wondering if there is a soft that can make a copy of the hole forum once a week just for security!!!! as i see there is no soft in there
