So I'll have to wait until I have enough money to get a "normal" Mac

darn, for that money I could get at least 2 powerful PCs

Once again, I like playing with so-called "user-oriented" Linux distros but not working with them: there're lots of interested ideas implemented, but overall Linux GUI developers just trend to take the worst ideas from Apple/MS so the whole thing reminds a zoo of aliens. The principle "gee, it works" is not for me now: I've grown from the command line and have no will to use it for anything else but scripting. Besides, magically any distro I've tested has shown the stability level of Windows 95 plus I have absolutely no will to mess with compilers, scripting and solving eternal dependency problems. For me now Linux is nothing but a funny toy, nothing close to the work instrument.
That's coming a bit off-topic
